Social Re-branding Transcript:

“Wow, Anne!  You look great!”  Anne smiled at Stacy, posing to let her friend get a good look at her new outfit.  “You have really turned into a little fashionista lately!”

“Thanks, hun.  I can afford to spend a bit more now that Kevin is making more money.  Did I tell you he got promoted again?” 

“That’s like the third time this year!  What got into him?”  Stacy sipped her wine as Anne enjoyed her best friend’s envy.  “You used to complain about him having no ambition!”

“I know!  He’s already told me he wants to move so he’s told me to find a new place to live!  He’s gotten better at EVERYTHING lately if you know what i mean.”  Anne couldn’t help but smile at her good fortune.  Life had become fantastic for her and her husband and she couldn’t be happier.  He had taken the reins of their finances and really proved himself at his job and she got to reap the benefits.  All it had taken was a little change.

As far as “Kevin” knew, the strange statue that had transformed the couple had been some odd accident.  He didn’t know that “Anne” had purposely had the statue delivered to them.  It had been hard for Anne to act as if she was just as distraught as her former wife, but inside she was ecstatic with the trade.  The new Kevin responded just as she had predicted - by being practical and to the point.  It was “Kevin” who suggested that they both act as if nothing happened and just accept their new roles, and “Anne” went along with it.  Her husband went to work a year ago and did her job while Anne stayed at home. 

It turned out her former Anne was made a much better man than the former Kevin ever did.  As a woman, she had been considered a bossy, controlling shrew.  Those same traits in a man were considered decisive and direct.   The new Anne watched her husband climb the corporate ladder.  Now she was a socialite wife of a company partner and she got to live in the lap of luxury.  All she had to do was keep herself beautiful and address her husband’s new carnal appetites. 

Of course she would never be able to tell anyone this.  Stacy was just as much in the dark as Kevin.  That was why she had gotten rid of the old statue.  It still had the power to reverse things and Anne had no plans on giving up her new social status.
