“Babe, who ya talkin’ to?”
“Just Felicia, Luca-honey.”
“Tell her bye and come to bed... I got something to give ya.”
“The big lug is feeling frisky. I’ll see you tomorrow for shopping, Felicia.” The buxom blonde hung up the phone, eyes on her husband. She was actually looking forward to sex— her body was built for pleasure and Luca Corelli was a talented lover. Still, she had to remain focused on the task at hand.
Being Mrs. Molly Corelli had been a demanding assignment, but one Agent Benson had been well prepared for. He studied endless amounts of files before the job, even watching surveillance footage to understand his target’s mannerisms and traits. He knew her favorite hairdresser’s name, her best friend from her pre-Luca strip club days, and even the name of her first grade teacher. He knew most of the information would be accessible once he possessed her body, but he liked to be as well prepared as possible. It was why he was one of the best warlocks in the Paranormal Division of the force.
Still, it was a deep cover assignment which meant he had to spend a long time linked to his mount. Deep links were always dangerous; too easy to lose yourself if you didn’t train your mind. Luca’s wife had a very seductive body and life. She wasn’t the smartest girl, and he was finding it easy to inhabit her mind. The only thing keeping him in check was his focus on his job. Hopefully the information he passed to his partner tomorrow would be enough to cripple Corelli’s organization for good. “Felicia” was also a plant— the wife of Luca’s consigliere. It would break both men’s hearts when their wives testified against them in court. Too bad they would never know who was really behind the words.
Mmm! I love a good undercover espionage/saboteur tale! A hint of romance, a twist of intrigue--simply delicious!
ReplyDeleteOne of these days I'll have to try to make a Spectre cap for you: I love how you handle it and it's always a lot of fun to see those stories. The undercover angle is always a big thrill for me: I could do similar stories forever!
DeleteLovely caption as always Simone. For some reason I always like some context in the caption and you have presented them quite well. I would bet even Corelli would not suspect a thing from the undercover detective.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by to comment. These types of stories are a lot of fun.
