This is the first exclusive for the new year and this one will be followed by a treat. When I complained about design to Victoria, she decided to give me pointers on more clean, quick designs. In it, she did something I thought of doing, but she executed it better than I could have dreamed of. all she did was take the same source pic and my text and give it a different vibe. To me her's looks more like a magazine add, which fits will with the source image. I LOVE her look and I'll be sure to use some element in it within my own caps. But it just shows you how two people can take the same thing but see different things in it. My reluctant to split the picture up was due to not wanting to damage the pic or lose the family within it. SHE told me because the family was background in the story, it was easier to split the image and focus on the two women.

As soon as I saw this picture, I knew who it was for. There's a bit of Skyrim influence (I put in a considerable amount of time into the game) along with some of Kara's own universe. I do hope she enjoys it - she hasn't had a chance to see it as of this posting. It had two different color schemes and I settled on the above, but the one below was the other version. Which do you like best?

This particular bit was inspired by a conversation I had with Steffimarie. Both of us were discussing how to do something for her when the idea for a mini universe came up. The idea of a reality show about a Mistress who goes into the world and finds submissives and brings out their hidden desires. No pet to stubborn, none to shy, The Sissy Whisperer will find the truth within your heart and unleash the girl inside you! Like the wicked little thing she is, Steffi pushed me to finish the idea and I began working on this. I selected Caitlyn as the first subject of this idea because she had recently made a wonderful cap for me and I wanted to give her a return. Also, her preferences fit within the concept well.

This is perhaps one of the most heavily scrutinized caption I've made in a while: I did two revisions on the writing and it was beta-read by three different individuals (A special thanks to Kayla, Victoria-Hyde and Steffi). The original draft wasn't nearly as potent or focused - it read more like a reality show clip complete with announcers and voice overs. I realized while I did want the vibe of it being part of a TV show, the writing didn't fit the vibe of the images I selected nor did it read very well. I scrapped it and rewrote what's above now.

As for the design, I wanted to play with different textures and visuals, so I originally used a grey marble background and used a singular image to frame the text. The second image and it's gradient overlay overpowered the original image and the marble backgrounds clashed with the look of the image. At first I scrapped the secondary image but still didn't like the background. The text didn't stand out correctly and fought with the overall visual instead of working in conjunction with the elements. I played with using a background image, played with the title placement and decided on the color blue as the background. It all fed well into the original source pics. While I was disappointed in it looking so close to my usual work, I was pleased with the overall look. Everything blended together.

My beta readers helped me with some writing elements. Kayla picked up on the hypnosis elements in the writing and helped cultivate it some, while Victoria helped clean up some writing issues. She also suggested a new title. The original title was "It Doesn't Matter" and while it may have been the inspiration for the focus of the story, it didn't fit with the final product of the direction I wanted to take it. Finally, Steff made some suggestions with the visual and caught a few more typos - mainly helping with the color ascetics. In many respects, this is a group effort because there were influences abound. There were some more suggestions made but as I often do I opted to go in another direction.

Of course, the images were what drew me in. Steffi suggested a few pictures to me, but I kept coming back to this set I had on my harddrive. It seemed to fit the idea I had for Caitlyn. The stylish, glam tone, the use of a mask and the Dome/sub themes within the photo shoot all set the tone that I felt worked best with this idea.

"I'm Ready For My Close Up . . "

Never have I been so proud and yet so frustrated with acaption. I made this for Sammie (Rachel's Haven) mainlybecause of the glam look combined with the golden era movie starlet look. The design was a product of fiddling with afew things: Nothing I haven’t done before but it seemed to fit this particularimage and idea well. I wanted to keepwith the vintage appeal so I hunted down a few different fonts for the title,tried them all and settled on this one. The title itself was meant to be a bit of a placeholder, but I couldn’tget the imagery out of my head. I keptimagining those big music productions with the big band doing the music in thebackground, girl walking down the street and swaying her hips to a bass drum inher own head that the audience hears. Itinspired a story and Sammie often enjoys such tropes.

The writing actually came fairly easy and I was allset. So far so good, right? Now comes the frustration. I’ve used tilted text before but I’ve alwayshad to use quick-and-dirty methods to get the proper effect. I wanted to find a way to do the whole blockof text in an unusual shape but I had no idea how to do it. I tried googling it, but I had difficultyfinding the right tutorial. Admittedly,I’m not the best at Photoshop when it comes to knowing proper terms for what’sgoing on (I’ve only recently started training myself to use hotkeys). I can do a fair bit but I couldn’t explain itto you in a technical manner.

In comes Caitlyn with the solution. She not only gives me instructions but goes so far as to make me a minivideo showing exactly how to do what I wanted to do! Leave it to me to spend the next two hours fiddlingwith it trying to do the exact same thing (sigh). The end result as what you see here. Now that I have the bit of knowledge, I willbe sure to use it in the future.

Determination definitely fuels creativity

This wasn't made for anyone in particular, but I liked the idea of permanence. Being stuck in a feminine body. In most captions, it's usually forced, but this isn't the case here. My idea was to ask the question "What would it feel like to make the decision to stay this way?" Imagine what she was thinking just before she took the plunge and make herself irreversibly female. Scary and exciting all at once.

As for the design, it was inspired by "The Mermaid's Gift" caption I did before the end of last year. The original idea was to let this be an image only caption where I posted the text onto the actual image. I didn't like the look of it and it was hard to read. Space became an issue so I decided to use another route. Not wanting to go with one of my "typical" designed, I played with this idea. Visually, this is something I liked doing a lot. I kind of wish I had someone in mind when I did it, but I can't deny the muse when she calls.

You have no idea how happy I was when Steffiemarie started captioning again! I've always thought of her as my "little sister" and she made some of my favorite captions. Most of all, she was a joy to talk to and someone who I could bounce ideas off of. Very much a kindred spirit. It was only a matter of time that I welcomed her back with a caption, and this is the end result. I think she makes a darling little thing, don't you agree?

I tried to keep it from being too racy. Steffi has never been one for hardcore captions, but this provides a different tint on sexuality. This is a steamy picture with a lot of sensuality oozing out of it, so I wanted to focus more on that than anything else. She's adorable, sexy, demure and alluring all at once so it was easy to feed off that when I wrote it. I wanted to make it a bit longer but I didn't want to bog it down with details that were obvious in the image. Instead, I let the characters convey the feeling of the situation; Steffi's plight and what the future held for her. Also, helplessness was a key theme here. Victoria was talking to me at the inception of the initial brainstorming and she zeroed in on the idea of Ron being powerless to change his situation. I honestly would love to expand on it because the idea of seeing someone hypnotized into BEING scared and submissive intrigues me. It's one thing to be programmed to be scared or programmed to like something, but to how devious would it be to have both programmed thoughts going at the same time? Needless to say Steffi's got a devious sister

Once upon a time, I had this idea to use the concept of the Deatnote Universe (an anime/manga horror/thriller series) in TG. I created a series of captions dealing with this theme and used them on Rachel's Haven. I even wrote out a little mini backstory and some rules for this universe to it could be used by others. Problems arose with the amount of rules planned and I felt scaling back was best. Still, I never got rid of the captions and I always thought it was worthy of use. A year ago I had even planned on doing a blog of nothing but captions in this universe but I stopped when I got busy doing other captions. Do you think it's worth revisiting? Tell me what you think:

About a month ago, Sarine Davis wrote a wonderful story based on a concept I gave her. She was kind enough to donate it for the Haven Quarterly E-zine. Some of you who read Fictionmania may know her as Belladonna. She's got a nice catalog of role reversion/force feminization stories that are beautifully crafted and make very engrossing reads. After reading the story, I was stunned with how she took a basic idea in my head and ran with it. Because it's on a temporary embargo, you won't be seeing it anytime soon. Still, I decided she deserved thanks and praise for her work. This was my thank you to her - a work place tale in the vein of some of her own work. I don't often let my wicked, dark side enough out when I'm making captions, but I'm glad I did for this bit. I still held back with the writing and even choices in pictures. Still I wanted to have multiple pictures and there were enough sexy ones to work with. This caption was also the result of three revisions. The first two drafts were horrid visually so I scrapped them. However I did keep one of them to see the evolution of this caption. I'm very happy with the results both visually and story wise.

For those of you who don't know, this was sent to me by Dee @ 'Dee'-lusions of Grandeur. I consider her a close friend and over the years she has made me an extensive list of captions. She was there when I first found the Haven and we had a lot of engrossing conversations in those early days. I had to go back and review all the captions she's done for me to remember everything and in the end decided to pick two that stuck out with one honorable mention (Also, I just want to showcase some awesome work she's done for me!).

"Sasha's the same old Mark ... well sorta!"

This one is pretty straightforward: I love dominance and control and this hits all those buttons for me. As "Sasha" this is something I would do, turn others into sexy girls and make them sexy toys. As you can see, everyone is happier in the end . . . and a whole lot sexier. This was also a different kind of caption for me to get on the Haven - people continued to focus on more submissive captions and while I do enjoy them, I lean towards dominance (if that wasn't obvious enough). It takes a very special caption for me to accept submission. Speaking of which . . .

"Harem Scarem"

This one might be THE favorite. While it is a submissive caption, it embodies everything that's good about a "Dee" Caption: Humor and tight-yet-direct-writing. The pictures are also some my favorites that Dee picked for me; the girl is just stunning and I LOVE sexy girls of color (my preference in girl depends on the mood I'm in, but Dee is one of the few who's captioned me as a black girl and I love her for it.). The best part about the writing is that it's so good that it gets you hot and bothered while making you laugh out loud at the same time.

I've shown this caption before as a guest caption, but it's just so good it's worth a second time. For one thing, I identify with both the mistress and the slave, which is an odd duality for me. The picture speaks to my most wicked desires and the writing pushes this one WAY over the top.

Chelsea's preferences are those of a revenge/karma tone. Atoning for sins and pass transgressions or being switched from one extreme to the other. In this case, I wanted to concentrate on the vengeance/ divine retribution angle. I originally wrote the voodoo priestess with a very literal Bayou accent. I quickly realized it was too hard to read so I switched it to something more readable.

Also, this caption is just another example of how revisions can lead you from one place to another:

This is the original finished version- note the revised writing and typos. Also the text doesn't pop the same way. I thought it was fine, but the whole cap wasn't "alive" in my eyes. I finally edited the above version and the top is the final result.

If you can't tell by my captions; I have a love for designer fashion. One of my favorite caption blogs is Samantha de Savoy's TGirl Captions - a blog that uses high quality fashion photos in almost every caption made. If I was given a woman's form, I would want to look good - period. Being that my weakness is a well-dressed woman it's pretty much a given I would want to be the same way if I were one!
As for pets - they have to earn clothing! If they are good, they get a collar and the really lucky ones get a pink thong and matching heels. Anything else is is purely based on the situation. The only rule is no one is ever to outshine Mistress.

While I certainly love that anyone has an appreciation for my captions, The above method is NOT a good way to convince me to do something. IF I FEEL UP to making a possession caption (or any caption for that matter), THEN I'll gladly make one. That said, please be respectful when posing a question or you stand a good chance of being ignored. I love feedback and interacting with people, but I won't accept foolishness.

I didn't make this caption for anyone in particular, but it was made with a Photoshop Template I created. I plan to post the template on Rachel's Haven for the toolbox to help beginners who might need a little boost in the visual department. I don't pretend to know a ton about Photoshop (there are SO MANY other captions-makers who are better with it than me. . . .Caitlyn-Masked, Steffie, Petra and Victoria to name a few), but I know enough to understand that it can be an intimidating program for the uninitiated. I myself and horrid in the technical sense; much of what I've learned has been through years of fiddling, searching tutorials and exchanging information with others.
I'll also be writing a tutorial for it and this caption was the text to see if it would visually be up to snuff. It worked out well and it also allows me some easy quick caps for when I'm feeling like getting something done. To give you an idea of what the Template looks like, here's the bare bones look of it:

The image is just a test image to show the person where the picture goes and I labeled all the layers accordingly. But this turned into the caption above. I honestly wrote this caption very quickly - I was talking with Victoria and she showed me the image. The story immediately came to mind and I typed it up to her as if I were talking as the woman. I saw her reaction and said "Hey, THIS is a cap!" I was already working on the template so I decided this would be my test. I cleaned up the text (and had it proofed!) and plugged it in. This is a little Twisted FairyTale I crafted after seeing this image. It was shown to me by Victoria and I instantly thought of Cinderella. I took the idea and ran with it, but really wanted to concentrate on the transformation itself. My goal was to seduce the reader visually and mentally . . . so much fun!

Me and Victoria's interests are so much the same that I could have easily have switched the names around in this. In fact her imprint is very much on this caption: she proof-read it, showed me the image that sparked the idea and even provided a little help on the second title. Of course when I thought of the prince, I had someone in particular in mind so it should be quite fun to see the reaction . . . (I even have something of a follow-up image that could be used as a "honeymoon" caption sequel.)

I won't give away the visual ques but they should be obvious. I'm also thinking of expanding it and writing out the entire fairy tale as I envision it from beginning to end. I would love to hear your thoughts on this one. Until next time, dolls.

Sometimes I just feel wicked and want to cross a forbidden the line or two. This caption is such a caption. This one was partly inspired by a story from Fictionmania along with a conversation I had with Victoria Hyde. She brought up the idea of a mistress being a flesh-peddler; holding her thrall out on display while she gives a seductive sales pitch to the potential customer. Meanwhile, said thrall wait's patiently, eyes pleading to be used after being trained so well by her mistress. It's a positively orgasmic image of temptation and needless to say it sent the motor running. I combined a few ideas and wrote this caption after finding a particular picture. Because she helped spark it, Victoria gets the co-staring role and the speaking parts. Afterall, I can think of no one else who can sale sin like her. That silver-tongued vixen will have you in panties before you can say "Yes ma'am" and I adore her for it.

While I can't say that I will use particular trope much, I can say I will be exploring more darker themes when the fancy strikes me. The usual quality of work you've come to know and love will still be here! Until next time.

If it was posted to my folder @ Rachel's Haven, I usually ask before posting. However, I've jumped the gun once or twice. If it's someone I know better or has given me permission, I might be inclined to forgo asking. Anything submitted by email is fair game unless told otherwise. However, I never have an issue with removing anything by someone who doesn't want their work posted here.

The main reason I started doing guest caps is to highlight people whose work is excellent but otherwise didn't have their own blog to post it to. However, with the explosion of personal TG blogs, it's rare that it's the case anymore. I still try to use more caps from those who don't have blogs, but it's hard to do when something is so good it has to be shared!

This was made for Kaitlyn who tends to make more "nice" captions. She had made me a wonderful little bodyswap story and this was my return to her. I've made captions for her before but I have always found her preferences harder to focus on than most. She likes the traditional TG/TF fiction universes (Great Shift, SRU, MoZ, etc.) and I always had difficulty writing within those realms.

Now one thing about Kaitlyn people tend forget; just because she tends to lean towards pictures that are less sexual in nature they assume this means there can't be anything wicked in the stories. That's far from the case. In this story, I really wanted to play with the idea of temptation. While bouncing ideas off of Caitlyn (two for the price of one!), this story jumped into my head. The image itself oozes femininity but aside from being very pretty to look at, it doesn't tell much of a story. However, it's that very femininity that works well to drive this tale.

If you are a regular visitor here, than chances are that femininity would be a temptation for you. Some of you dress, some of you have gone deep down the womanhood. Whatever your stopping point, it would have to be tempting to be your most optimally feminine and pretty. A chance at whatever your ideal would be a dream come true and I doubt many would pass it up. Haven Quarterly E-Zine Issue 2 Coming!

The girls over at Rachel's Haven have once again been busy with the making the Haven Quarterly E-zine. If you're a fan of TG fiction and captions, than this is another chance to see a collection of beautiful exclusive work done by some great creators. There's over 70 pages of stories, comics and caption made by people like Smitty, Alectra, Jennifer, Caitlyn, Candy, Kayla and a host of others. There's even a serial story and two exclusive captions by yours truly inside. I don't plan to ever post the captions I donate to the e-zine on my blog so you'll just have to get them from the Haven Quarterly.

Which would make you happier to create? A cap that you don't think is very good, but is VERY well received, or a cap that you think is great, but receives no comments whatsoever?

I work hard to be this good!

This is a difficult question for me because I'm always aware of the audience. I first and foremost write for myself - If I don't truly like it or see potential, then I won't post caption. I have a folder of "B-sides and draft caps" that no one has ever seen because I wasn't pleased with the outcome. Still, there is a huge motivation within me to try to make the perfect caption or write the perfect story. When I make a caption for someone, I want to wow them and leave them excited. If I didn't I feel like I didn't do a good enough job, than I want to try again.

That all said, I always set out to make good captions that are well-received. Many times I've scratched my head at the responses captions have gotten. Some I've made and thought were only OK have been wildly popular while others I've personally loved with all my heart have gone all but unnoticed. I can't control it and if I could I would bottle it and use it as a writer or artist! I suppose if I had to choose, I would perfer to make a popular caption because I already know I can't control the response. If I go out and make the best caption possible, than I should be happy with whatever response I get. Because ultimately, I want to involve some kind of response, even if it's not the one I wanted or expected.

This is the first caption I ever created. When I first made this, I had been on Rachel's Haven for all of a week and I decided to dip my toes into writing captions. I had seen them for years all over the internet at this time, but they were scattered in so many places. I had contributed stories to Fictionmania but nothing beyond that.

Looking back on this, I'm pleased with what I wrote, but I had no concept of design. I large block of space, some text and a picture was pretty much all I knew (Notice it doesn't even have a double name). At the time I was still exploring the idea of admitting that I had this kink so the Simone that runs this blog wasn't fully developed. Over 250 captions later I feel I've grown. Still, I can appreciate what this caption does do right. I originally wanted to remix this caption before posting it and I still might just for fun. How do you think I've done in the years since making this caption?

I think of all the captions I've ever written, I'm proudest of this one. I will tell you now that if you are looking for something with a most sexual nature, this caption won't be it. I really wanted to write something that captured sacrifice and unconditional love in it's purest form. It was made for the June 2008 caption contest (the theme was Father's Day). I haven't been at the haven longer than a month and this was the first time I actually entered a contest. I was very new to captioning and looking at it now, I can see visual mistakes I wouldn't make now. Regardless, the story was what I was truly going for so I that was my focus.

This turned out to be the winner of that month and I was very surprised at the response it received. While I have rarely used the pregnancy trope in a caption, I do understand the allure of it. There is perhaps no other action that embodies femininity than giving life. To feel a life growing inside you and becoming bonding with that child is something I I believe holds one of the highest honors in our society. Usually when I use it, I try to take great care with it in captions. Still, there is a sensual allure to feeling the weight of a pregnant body as well.

Two Captions - One Image Special

Now here's an interesting scenario; a picture inspires two captions at the same time. I found this image in my blog feed and it stuck out right away. It SCREAMED "cap me!" and I had no choice. Wanting to use the static image, I knew I wanted to add little in terms of boarders and text space. I decided to make it a quick caption and due to the sci-fi nature of the image, I made it for Sci-Fi Kara.

I don't feel that being a girl is so much humiliating as the situation you could be put in as a girl. I feel a situation where you can't control yourself would be the most humiliating. A girl who a slave to her body, her base desires and sexual urges. Not being able to help yourself or being put in constant situations where there is no way to hide your body and what it wants. . . THAT is the only thing I can see as humiliating. Anything is else is either forced upon you or a product of your own invention.

Easily the slowest transformation I've ever written and one of the more challenging captions. It was obviously inspired by Venom from Spider-Man. This would be an interesting way for shape-shifting powers to manifest themselves and I for one might consider giving myself over to this dark power. Especially if I were able to change at will. Looking back on this one, I wish I had been more careful about typos. I still make them even now, but I pay much closer attention than I did when I made this one.

There has been some new talent joining the haven and one of them made a creative caption for me. This was my return caption for them. Like me, Victoria (who's wonderful blog is just starting out) enjoys the ideas of embracing femininity and enjoying the power it has. If you take a look at her work, you'll understand why I enjoy it so much, so I felt it needed to return it in this fashion. This was a joy to write. I also agonized over this one because this image comes from my muse files. I use this same model for my avatar so it was somewhat personal. Yet I took the chance as I am trying not to sit on so many images. What good are they if you don't caption them???
